Announces January wedding

RAYNE - Bill and Cheryl Guidry of Rayne are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca (Becca) Anne Guidry of Lafayette, to Cody Dwight Vidrine of Lafayette.
The couple will be married on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, during a 7 p.m. wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. A reception will follow at the Petroleum Club in Lafayette.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Letrice and Eugene Guidry, and the late Winnie Prejean and LeRoy Prejean, all of Rayne.
Becca is a 2009 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley, and a 2013 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a major in child and family studies. She is employed by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and is presently a full-time graduate student at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she will receive a masters in social work in May of 2016.
The prospective groom is the son of Donna Vidrine of Lafayette and Dwight Vidrine of Opelousas. His grandparents are Jacquelyn Watson and the late Fred Watson of Church Point, and Trudy and Patrick Vidrine of Bunkie.
Cody is a 2007 graduate of Opelousas Catholic High School, a 2012 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a major in public relations, and is currently employed by B&B Oilfield Services.
Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
