Chapbook workshop available at NUNU

NUNU Arts and Culture Collective has arranged for poet and author J. Bruce Fuller to bring his popular chapbook workshop to its NUNU yoU program.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, participants will construct and fill their own chapbooks and learn the means to publish.

The cost is $80 (NUNU members pay $60), due the first day of the workshop, for six hours of instruction. Class size is limited, and seats may be reserved by calling (337) 484-9190.

A chapbook is a small collection of poetry, generally no more than 30-35 pages, typically saddle-stitched (like a pamphlet or magazine), and well suited to smaller print-runs.

Fuller, who teaches English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, has this year published three chapbooks of poetry and short stories.
