CHS Class of 1973 celebrates 40th reunion
The Crowley High School Class of 1973 held its 40-year reunion at the Crowley Town Club on Saturday, Nov. 30.
The attendees were greeted by the reunion committee and several special guest speakers. Sister Beulah Martin blessed the classmates and the dinner. The classmates were also greeted by Debbie Hoffpauir Richard, class president, along with Farrel Villejoin.
Antionette Chaffers Pete honored the deceased classmates.
Jimmy Meche, along with Elaine Gould Simon and Clifton Andrus, entertained the classmates with memories from the past and encouraging words on the accomplishments of their classmates.
An award was given to the classmate who traveled the farthest, John Letz. The classmate with the most children award went to Mike Reynolds. The classmate with the most grandchildren was Theresa Andrews White. The most recent newlywed classmate award was given to Steven LeBlanc, and the least changed classmate award was given to Carolyn Zaunbrecher Freeland.
The morning of the reunion was celebrated by classmates with a tour of the “old” Crowley High School followed by breakfast in the cafeteria.
