Couples’ shower honors Emily Silor, Tyler Prejean

The approaching May wedding of Emily June Silor and Tyler David Prejean served as the occasion for a couples’ shower held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the home of Chad and Debbie Prejean of Rayne.
Emily and Tyler will be married on Friday, May 9, during a 7 p.m. wedding ceremony at Vermilionville in Lafayette, followed by a reception on site.
Emily is the daughter of Claudia Reed and Bobby Silor of Lafayette.
Tyler is the son of Chad and Debbie Prejean of Rayne.
Serving as hosts for the afternoon celebration were Katie Silor, Claudia Reed, Katie Gomez, Carress Doty, Angel Meche, Gloria Soileaux, Nicole Simon, Natalie Young, Marlene Gautreaux and Jodi Savoy.
Guests were served a variety of refreshments, including chicken fettichini, shrimp fettichini, meatballs, sandwiches, taco dip, deviled eggs, cheese casserole, boudin, cream cheese and pepper jelly, fruit tray, veggie tray, cookies, and beverages of punch and sherbert.
“The Hunt is Over” was the theme for the social as a camouflage decor was noted throughout the reception area. Columns wrapped with green cloths and burlap bows served a backdrop, along with Spanish moss, ficus trees and plants.
In addition to hosts and guests, Emily and Tyler were also attired in camouflage for the social.
Special guest in attendance for the courtesy was the prospective groom’s grandmother, Evelyn Sonnier of Rayne.
Approximately 50 guests attended from Rayne, Lafayette, Youngsville, Mire and Branch.
