Members of the Crowley High School graduating class of 1965 gathered to celebrate their 50-year class reunion on Saturday, June 6, at Chef Roy’s restaurant in Rayne.
Attendees enjoyed finger foods served banquet-style and listened to “golden oldies” tunes from the 1960s while visiting.
Special guests were Jimmy Meche, who coached the Crowley High School Gents football team in 1965, and his wife Gerry.
Approximately 80 people were on hand for the event, with out-of-town guests traveling from Arkansas, Indiana, North Carolina and Texas.
The reunion was planned by committee members Bob Gates (chairman), Butch Cantey, Terry Knight, Billy Prather, Jimmy Stewart, Murray Morgan, Richard Wendrock and Mac Atteberry.
