Freddie Miller honored during 90th birthday

A tropical theme birthday party was held Saturday, Aug. 23, in observance of the 90th birthday of Freddie Miller of Rayne.

The poolside celebration was held at the home of Carl and Donna Ancelet of Egan.

Freddie was born Aug. 26, 1924 to Theobert and Odelia Miller of Tepetate.

He is married to Verna T. “Lou” Miller, and they are the parents of Marlene M. Habetz of Rayne, Fred C. Miller of Scott, Cynthia M. Vidrine of Ville Platte, Donna M. Ancelet of Egan, and the late Carl J. Miller.

“Grandpaw’s” siblings are Burley Miller of Colorado, and the late Ervin, B.L. and Egbert Miller (brothers), Odeal M. Smith, Edith M. Cart and Dolice M. Chapman (sisters).

Party hosts were Marlene and Edward Habetz, Fred and Vita Miller, Cynthia and Richard Vidrine, Donna and Carl Ancelet.

Family members and guests were served a barbecue dinner with all the trimmings, including a special birthday for the honoree.

Guests attended the special birthday party from points of Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.
