Helen, Jim Zaunbrecher celebrate 60th anniversary

Helen and James “Jim” Zaunbrecher of Crowley recently celebrated quite a milestone - their 60th anniversary.

The Zaunbrechers were married at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley on Feb. 24, 1954, by Auxiliary Bishop Maurice Schexnayder.

Helen was born to Buelah and Dorsey Martin on Jan. 8, 1934, and is a retired librarian. Jim was born August 31, 1931, to Annie and Henry Zaunbrecher. He is retired from Conoco Gas Refinery.

The Zaunbrechers have five children, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
