Ites “Black” Bertrand celebrates

A day prior to his 96th birthday, family members of Ites “Black” Bertrand treated him to an oyster dinner at Fezzo’s Seafood and Steakhouse. And, as it was his birthday, there was cake. On hand for the celebration were, seated from left, Hilda Simon, Bertrand, Libby Marceaux; standing first row, Margaret and Wallace Vincent, Lercy Bertand, Gerry Wright; standing second row, Cheryl Wright, Nancy and Gary Vincent, Earl Wright II and Earl Wright Sr. Also present, but not pictured, were Mark and Sandra Henry, Karen Leger, Tina Capell and Henry Fontenot. Black Bertrand’s actual birthday was Oct. 16.
