Jabusch named National American Miss Louisiana

Michaela Jabusch, daughter of Debbie and Bryan Jabusch of Egan, earned the title of 2015 National American Miss Louisiana at the state pageant held May 30 through June 1 in Baton Rouge.
She will represent Louisiana at the national pageant to be held Thanksgiving week at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where she will have the opportunity to win her share of over $500,000 in cash and prizes.
The National American Miss pageants are dedicated to celebrating America’s greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the pageants award over 1.5 million dollars in cash, scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist the development of young women nationwide. This year, each girl that qualifies for the national pageant has a chance to win a new 2015 Ford Mustang convertible.
Pageants are held in each state for girls ages 4 to 18 in five different age divisions. The pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation. Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition and setting and achieving personal goals.
Michaela’s activities include dancing, singing, piano and swim team. Her sponsors for the pageant were First National Bank of Crowley, Jabusch Farms, Nerium and Tumbling Tots and Teens.
