The home of Kyle and Kristina Lavergne in the Roberts Cove area was the setting for a mid-day bridal shower held in honor of Kayla James McFalls Fontenot, bride-elect of Trevor Lee Deaville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jimmy and Norellie Fontenot of Rayne.
The prospective groom is the son of Donna Deaville of Hathaway and the late Norman Deaville.
Hosting the pre-nuptial brunch were a number of family members and friends, including Kristina Lavergne, Joy Fontenot, Diana Duhon, Kathy Richard, Bonnie Johnson, Judy Puissegur, Karris Toups, Lauren Fontenot, Sandy Elkins, Lauren V. Fontenot and Pat Fontenot.
Against a vintage-style backdrop, guests were served a brunch-style buffet.
For the special event, Kayla wore a sleeveless dress of ivory linen detailed at the neckline with lavendar lace.
Special guests in attendance were Merella McFalls, maternal grandmother of the bride-elect, and Geneva Daigle, maternal grandmother of the prospective groom.
Kayla and Trevor will be married on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, during a 6:15 p.m. wedding ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a reception at The Crossing at Mervine Kahn in Rayne.
