Laureate Mu conducts member rituals

Rituals were held for members Phyllis Triggs (ritual of jewels) and Glenda Atkinson and Brenella Joubert (both exemplar degree) at the May 5 meeting of Laureate Mu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held at the home of Shirley Griffin.
Following the rituals, Griffin presented an informative program on estate planning and long-term care, including information on home care insurance. She also provided checklists on what items to keep and advice on where to keep them.
The current officers will continue to serve in the same positions for the coming club year, and Phyllis Triggs accepted the position of program chairman for the coming year. Hostesses were assigned for each month of the new year.
Toilet tissue was collected to be delivered to Miss Helen’s Soup Kitchen.
Plans were made to attend the musical program at Levy Park on May 7 and the Hilliard University Art Museum in Lafayette on May 27.
The June meeting will be held at the home of Glenda Atkinson.
Following the meeting the hostess served refreshments to those present, including Atkinson, Jean Hanks, Joubert, Elsie Rowell, Gloria Stutes, Nancy Tislow and Triggs.
