The Crowley Garden Club held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Faye Hoffpauer’s camp in Crowley. Virginia Duson provided floral design tips, and Marlene Brantley presented a hands-on program on how to make hypertufa containers with Portland cement and natural matter. Hypertufa is a manufactured substitute for natural tufa, a slowly precipitated limestone rock. Making hypertufa containers are, from left, Brantley, Janis Coignard and Sissy Gall, with Robert Baxter and Virginia Duson in the background.
