Mid-day baby shower honors Emily Dupuis

The home of Kevin Prejean in Mire served as the setting on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, for a baby shower held in honor of Emily Prejean Dupuis of Mire.
Emily and her husband, Brandon, are expecting their new family member on March 26, 2015. Also ready to welcome his sibling is big brother Carson Dupuis.
Maternal grandparents-to-be are Julie and Paul Savoie of Rayne and Kevin Prejean of Mire.
Paternal grandparents-to-be are Patsy and Dennis Dupuis of Rayne.
Hosting the mid-day social were Maitlyn Comeaux, Mandy LeBleu, Rachel Gates, Celeste Touchet, Josette Gossen Abshire, Whitney Prejean, Christy Dupuis, Erin Hunt and Tracy Dupuis.
In addition to a meal consisting of barbecue and all the trimmings, guests were also served a special shower cake for dessert.
For the special event, the Prejean home was decorated with white and yellow daisies, yellow paper lanterns and yellow poms.
For the occasion, Emily wore a black maxi dress topped with a pink cardigan.
Approximately 40 guests were in attendance from Rayne, Mire, Lafayette, Branch, Youngsville, Cutoff, Scott and Lockport.
Special guests in attendance were great-grandmothers-to-be, Vivian Prejean and Jeanne Gossen, and great-great-aunt-to-be Josette Delahoussaye.
