Miss Acadia Parish pageant set for Sept. 5
The 2014 Acadia Parish Queens are seeking ladies to compete in the upcoming 2015 pageant.
The newly crowned queens will travel Louisiana representing Acadia Parish and members of the community, while promoting our commodities, culture and history. These queens will have the privilege of visiting Louisiana’s fairs and festivals, attractions and other events throughout the year.
The 2015 Acadia Parish Queens Pageant will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 5 p.m. in the Historic Rice Theatre in Crowley. General admission is $5 and children 5 and under get in free. Seating is open to the public at 4:15 p.m.
All Acadia Parish Queens will receive custom crowns and monogrammed banners.
The divisions include Junior: ages 12-14 years; Teen: ages 15-16 years; Ms.: ages 21 and over (married/divorced); and Miss: ages 17-23 years.
“During my reign as queen, I had the opportunity to travel our great state and experience festivals and events I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do without being Miss Acadia Parish,” stated Kathryn Shea Duncan, 2014 Miss Acadia Parish. “I have discovered a new passion and love for this parish and its citizens. It was an honor to represent this remarkable parish for the past year.”
