Mother-To-Be Honored During Baby Shower

An afternoon baby shower was held Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 in honor of Mrs. Robbie Broussard, the former Mary Katherine Cook. The couple’s expecting their first child on Feb. 15, 2014.
The 2 p.m. courtesy was held at the home of Robert and Karon Cook, maternal grandparents-to-be.
Paternal grandparents-to-be are Greg and Joni Broussard of Estherwood.
Hosting the social were Rosemary and Mayme Cook, Mallory Hutchinson, Kelli Mahaffey, Natalie Gautreaux and René Broussard.
Guests were served assorted fingerfoods and sweets, along with a special baby shower cake of amaretto with raspberry filling.
For the special occasion, the honoree wore a purple street-length dress with an all-over black lace design featuring a v-neckline, elbow-length sleeves and a gathered waist. She was presented an orchid shoulder corsage on white tones.
Approximately 45 family members and guests were attendance from Rayne, Lafayette, Jennings, Estherwood and Baton Rouge.
Special guests included Idell Knepper, Robbie’s maternal grandmother, and Rosemary Curtis, Mary Katherine’s maternal grandmother.
