NAUW celebrates Founders’ Day

The National Association of University Women (NAUW), Crowley Branch, celebrated the organization’s 47th year with a Founders’ Day Ceremony held at Israelite Baptist Church in Crowley on Sunday, March 30. The day started with a light breakfast and fellowship, followed by a processional into the church led by the president, Cynthia Winbush, and a spirit-filled message Rev. Ivan J. Lewis entitled, “What will you do with yours?” Afterward, the NAUW members participated in a ceremony facilitated by Winbush and Dr. Ezora Proctor in the church’s fellowship hall facilitated. The members partook in a catered luncheon and enjoyed a sisterly fellowship.Betty Gums, Cheryl Lewis and Meridian Vallery were the hostess for this year’s event. Those on hand for the occasion included, from left, Proctor, Lewis, Winbush, Hilda Jones, Pamela Thorns and Vallery.
