NAUW plans for Rice Festival

Members of the National Association Of University Women Crowley Branch met on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Martin Luther King Center in Crowley. The group had a productive meeting as it prepared to attend the south central sectional planning session in Pineville. The health session of the meeting concerned sickle cell awareness, and the members discussed their pageant contestants participating in the Rice Festival Children’s Parade on Oct. 17. Members also received updates concerning their sick and shut-in members. On hand for the meeting were, seated from left, Cynthia Winbush, Evelyn Pleasure, Grace Brown; standing, Martha Williams, Jocelyn Potier, Myrtle Cain and Meridian Vallery.
