Pink Ladies hold Dec. meeting
The Board of the Pink Lady Auxiliary of the Acadia General Hospital met at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, in the hospital conference room.
President Gloria LeBlanc called the meeting to order and asked Evelyn Barousse, chaplain, to lead the Auxiliary Prayer and Pledge and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roberta Sonnier, secretary, called the roll and read the minutes for the November meeting to the 10 board members in attendance and Monica Guidry, volunteer coordinator. This was followed by the monthly treasurer’s report by Nettie Romero.
Reporter Sylvia Dischler advised that the date for the Christmas dinner hosted by the hospital had not been published, but that all the active Pink Lady members had been contacted. Lorraine Mire reported that 39 ladies had responded that they would attend.
Mary Briley was asked to make a calling list for active members only.
It was decided that deceased Pink Ladies will continue to be honored by either a Rosary or a prayer service given by the Auxiliary.
Several other items were brought up for discussion, but because there were no resolutions, these items were tabled for discussion at a future meeting.
The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be Jan. 5, 2015, at 9 a.m. in the hospital conference room.
