Pink Ladies plan for April luncheon

 

The board of directors of the Pink Lady Auxiliary of the Acadia General Hospital met for its regular meeting on Monday, April 6, in the hospital conference room. 

President Gloria LeBlanc called the meeting to order, after which Chaplain Evelyn Barousse led the group in the hospital auxiliary volunteer prayer and pledge, as well as the Pledge of Allegiance. Secretary Roberta Sonnier called the roll and read the minutes of the last meeting, approved, 

Treasurer Nettie Romero gave the financial report, which was also approved.

President LeBlanc instructed the board members to explain to the Pink Ladies on their work shifts how they can redeem their tickets for AGH T-shirts and the decals that are sold in the shop.

Mrs. LeBlanc told the Board members that she would like for them to explain to the ladies on their work shifts how the employees can redeem their tickets for the AGH tee-shirts and the decals that we sell in the shop.  She also announced a new policy regarding the separation of monies for the drink and snack machines.

The board members were also advised that volunteers cannot be placed where a full time employee is hired.  

Monica Guidry, volunteer coordinator, acknowledged that there had been a delay in getting out the invitations for the luncheon to be held in Lafayette on April 15 and asked for a count of the Pink Ladies who plan to attend.

Guidry stressed the need for adhering to HIPAA policy and keeping all patient information strictly confidential.

It was announced that there are four upcoming  safety training meetings and that attendance will be mandatory.

It was also announced that all local luncheons will be held at 10 a.m.

The next board meeting will be held on Monday, May 4, at 9 a.m. in the hospital conference room.
