PINK LADIES PLAN FOR END OF YEAR
The board of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Hospital held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Nov. 4, in the Conference Room of the hospital.
The main topic of interest was the discussion of the board’s annual Christmas meeting, which will be held this year on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at the home of Evelyn Barousse.
Activities will include a “Pink Elephant” exchange of gifts, and the members are asked to bring finger foods consisting of dips and chips, sandwiches, drinks and desserts.
President Gloria LeBlanc conducted the meeting and called on Lou Cormier to lead the ladies in the Pink Lady prayer and pledge, as well as the Pledge of Allegiance. Roberta Sonnier read the minutes for the previous meeting and eight members responded to roll call. The treasurer’s report by Nettie Romero was accepted and approved, pending audit.
The group recognized new member Bonnie McClain for completing her HIPAA class, and acknowledged that Thelma Istre will complete her training next week.
Before the meeting was adjourned, two new names, Ella Istre and Patricia Beverly, were submitted for prospective membership. Audrey Leger is now an associate member.
