Rayne High 1995 graduates gather for reunion
A large group of classmates who graduated from Rayne High School in 1995 gathered for their 20-year reunion at Chef Roy’s Frog City Café.
The 7 p.m. reunion was held Sept. 19, 2015, with over 50 classmates, along with their guests, in attendance.
Reunion committee members were Cutrina Jolivette Gabriel, Cutina Jolivette, Keisa Rubin, LaDonna Evans, Georgette Daigle Dugas, Dawn Venable Owens, Sadie Wheeler, Joselyn Jackson Board, Ryan Istre and Allison Miller Chovanec.
Entertainment was provided by Kori Dugas and Joseph Kent Sonnier.
Classmates and their guests also enjoyed appetizers and beverages of their choice.
Remembered during the reunion were he deceased classmates, including Telicia Madison Raney, Cypress “Cyp” Bellard, Brandi Winn Guidry and Stacy Mouton Forbes.
Class officers were president Keisa Rubin, vice president David Babineaux, secretary Karen Cormier Prejean, treasurer Cassie Bordes.
The class flower was the magnolia, with the traditional purple and gold as the class colors.
The class song was “Freebird” by Celebration, while the class motto was, “Here stands the future of the world. Yesterday we were followers, Today we are leaders. Tomorrow we will be unforgettable.”
