On Tuesday, April 19, members and guests of the Three Ten Club of Crowley were treated to a 75th Anniversary Celebration luncheon at Chef Roy’s Restaurant in Rayne. Attendees were greeted by hostesses Isabella de la Houssaye, Patti Lawrence, Liz Harrington and Mary Freeland. Tables were adorned with casual fresh summer bouquets topped with floating, festive balloons. Pre-luncheon cocktails were served before President Suzanne Gray called the celebration to order with a greeting and welcome to all. Everyone enjoyed the delicious and complete lunch selection, with the anticipation of a special program to follow. As the gorgeous commemorative cake and coffee were served, Barbara Geesey, a long-time member, was introduced as the guest speaker of the day. Much to the delight of her audience, Geesey began her reminiscences of club by naming those in the group who had a relative who had served in the club in years past. Times, places, dates and events throughout the history of the club were revisited, and there was spontaneous sharing by many in attendance. The hostesses and guest speaker were enthusiastically thanked by all, and it was announced that the club’s final meeting for the 2015-16 year would be held on May 17 at the home of Flo Faulk. Enjoying the event were, seated from left, Barbara de la Houssaye, Geesey, Isabella de la Housssaye, Joan Hoffpauer, Gray, Barbara Scanlan, Alice Whiting, Harrington; standing, Wilda Stringer, Gretchen Faulk, Carolyn Barousse, M’elise Trahan, Renee Chastant, Flo Faulk, Sandy Melancon, Adele Carr, Freeland, Sarah Bercier, Jackie Fogleman, Sissy Gall, Georgie Petitjean, Helen Zaunbrecher, Bobbie Chambers, Betty Faulk, Helen Aaron, Brucie Landry, Esther Trahan and Lawrence.
