Yokum celebrates eight years with “BFF” party

A’Miyah Lashae Yokum celebrated her eighth birthday on Saturday, Sept. 13, with a “Best Friends Forever” Rock and Roll party held at her Crowley home.

Approximately 50 friends and family members were on hand for the event, which featured a waterslide for entertainment.

Guests were served barbecued hamburgers and chili dogs, potato chips, fettuccine, chicken salad sandwiches, with their choice of juice or soda. Candy, cupcakes and birthday cake were served for dessert.

Special guests at the party were A’Miyah’s siblings, Rapheus Joseph and Wesley Yokum IV.

A’Miyah is the daughter of La’Daysha Joseph and Wesley Yokum III. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn Scott and Wesley Yokum and the great-grandaughter of Audrey Joseph, Clara Pollard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Yokum. Her great-great grandmother is Maggie Scott.
