“God Is With Mom”
Mom has died in flesh and her spirit has gone to rest with Jesus and his Angels keeping her abreast.
Her light is shining bright her smell is oh so sweet and Jesus is with her now guiding her to rest.
He has led her to her mansion surrounded by his Angels assuring her peace and happiness in her peaceful home of rest.
She has joined the Angels and Saints in the gala feast praising the Heavenly Father and thanking Him for the peace and rest.
Cecilia – Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Nancy “Pat” Guidry Montet, 68, who passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at her daughter’s residence in Cecilia.
Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Rev. Paul Broussard conducted the services.
Pat enjoyed life to its fullest. She was always a happy and joyous person to be around. Her many hobbies included reading, crocheting and cooking. She also enjoyed music and dance. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews were always held close to her heart. Pat will be loved always and missed greatly by all her family and friends.
Survivors include her four daughters, Vanessa Stelly and her husband Kenneth and their children, Matthew and his wife Ashley, Myles and Megan Stelly; Loretta Collins and her children, Leslie and Brad Dupuis, Mandee and Trent Collins; Christine Olivier and her children, Kourtney, Brittney and Whitney Olivier; and Mona Montet and her children, Raynee Montet and Chloe Doyle; and a sister, Catherine Hymel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curnis Montet; her parents, John R. and Elodie Champagne Guidry; her daughter, Mary Montet; and a sister, Verleen Daigle.
A rosary was recited at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Pallbearers were Kenneth, Matthew and Myles Stelly, Trent Collins and Brad Dupuis and Ray Chaisson.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
