Acadia Parish Teacher of the Year Luncheon held

The 2015-2016 Acadia Parish Teacher of the Year Luncheon was held Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Chef Roy’s Frog City Café in Rayne when Teachers of the Year from throughout the parish were honored.
Honorees, along with their principals and special guests, were treated to entertainment provided by the Acadia Parish Talented Music Program under the direction of Joe Stemplewski.
Welcoming the honorees and guests were Superintendent John E. Bourque, Master of Ceremonies Bryan Alleman, and presenters Ellan Kay Baggett and Margaret Jones.
Remarks were heard from the Acadia Parish’s Teachers of the Year, one each in elementary, middle and high school grade levels. Heard were Janne Crews of Crowley Kindergarten, Crystal DeMoura of Mire Elementary School, and Ashley Theriot of Iota High School.
Teachers of the Year honored were:
Elementary: Tiffanie Arceneaux of Branch Elementary, Michelle Hensgens of Central Rayne Kindergarten, Camille Bertrand of Church Point Elementary, Brittany Romero of Egan Elementary, Alisha Stakes of Estherwood Elementary, Carol Wriborg of Evangeline Elementary, Lisa Legé of Iota Elementary, Olivia Robichaux of Martin Petitjean Elementary, Becky LeJeune of Mermentau Elementary, Cora Menard of Morse Elementary, Connie Gary of North Crowley Elementary, James Leger of Richard Elementary, Brandol Monday of Ross Elementary, Jennifer “Beth” Brown of South Crowley Elementary, and Donna Reynolds of South Rayne Elementary.
Middle School: Richard Tullous III of Armstrong Middle, Tonya Nolan of Branch Elementary, Antoinette Thomas of Church Point Middle, Becky Breaux of Crowley Middle, Jody Boone of Iota Middle, and Angel Guidry of Richard Elementary.
High School: Dr. Anita Wimberly of Church Point High, Alisha Fontenot of Crowley High, Sandra Richardson of Midland High, and Patricia Fontenot of Rayne High.
