APSO investigating stabbing

Authorities in Acadia Parish are investigating a stabbing that was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, his office received a report of a disturbance at Kathy Apartments located in the 200 block of Kathy Meadow Lane near Crowley. Upon arrival deputies learned that several female subjects were fighting and during the altercation a 22-year-old female subject received a stab wound to her arm.
The victim was transported to Acadia General Hospital in Crowley with injuries that were not life-threatening.
As this investigation is in the early stages more information will be released as it becomes available.
The Crowley Police Department assisted in the investigation.
