Peters arrested in vehicle burglaries

Chief KP Gibson reports that Crowley Police have arrested a Crowley resident and have charged him with multiple counts of vehicle burglary and theft. 

The incident occurred on Sept. 7. 

During the late evening hours of Sept. 7, officers responded to a call of an individual entering vehicles near the Bayou Bend subdivision. Officers received a description from witnesses of the suspect and located him in the immediate area.

Officers were able to recover property which was stolen as well as identify the suspect by witnesses. 

Arrested was Damien Peters, 21, of Crowley. Peters was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for two counts of vehicle burglary and one count of theft.

“The effort of our citizens, working with our officers, to resolve problems within the community is greatly appreciated. We cannot do it alone and would encourage all citizens to get involved by reporting concerns when they occur,” stated Chief KP Gibson.
