Margaret Ann Schelsinger, third from left, has another Neal McCoy picture to add to her collection. Since she moved into Southwind Assisted Living, anyone that has gotten to know resident Margaret Ann Schelsinger knows she is a fan of country music.

But she is a big fan of Neal McCoy as evident by not only the photos in her apartment, but the sticker on her door.

Needless to say, McCoy’s biggest fan was looking forward to this year’s International Rice Festival.

She began looking forward to it more once she learned she would be among a lucky few to meet McCoy.

She enjoyed meeting McCoy and didn’t want to let go. She enjoyed getting to take her photo with the country artist and loved the concert Saturday night.

So, it was a great weekend, but for Schlesinger there was one more surprise in store.

Tuesday, officials with the International Rice Festival presented Schlesinger a framed 8-by-10-inch print of her photo with McCoy as well as pictures from the concert to remember the day by and to show off.

And, Schlesinger, who rarely is loss for words was happily speechless.
