Edwards running for Congress

In front of the Press Club of Baton Rouge, former Louisiana Gov. Edwin W. Edwards announced that he would be seeking the office of state representative for Louisiana's sixth district Monday afternoon.

The announcement ended the speculation that began months ago and has only grown as Edwards himself dropped hints that he was considering running for Congress.
