2 arrested in Church Point burglary case

Two Church Point men have been arrested in connection with the March 12 early morning aggravated burglary of a residence located in the 400 block of Chachere Lane near Church Point.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon following an investigation into the incident, investigators obtained warrants of arrests for Dax Hayden LeJeune, 19, of West Plaquemine Street in Church Point and Charles Richard, 17, of Lawtell Highway in Church Point.

Melancon stated that LeJeune and Richard were arrested without incident both charged with armed robbery and aggravated burglary. District Judge Kristian Earles set bond at $400,000 on LeJeune and $450,000 on Richard.

Both LeJeune and Richard remain in the Acadia Parish Jail.
