Accident shuts down interstate

Update: Louisiana State Police, Troop I, is handling the investigation, with the Acadia Parish Sheriff'so Office assisting. Also assisting are local fire departments. In fact, almost all fire departments, including volunteer fire departments, responded and assisted from throughout Acadia Parish. --- Update: According to Troop I, Interstate 10 is now closed eastbound at milepost 77. The accident involved two 18 wheelers. Traffic is being routed to La. 100. --- A major accident has closed the Interstate 10 in both directions. The accident has also called a major vehicle fire.
