Alligator Found Within Rayne City Limits

Cody LeBlanc holds an alligator found under a trailer located inside the fenced area at LeBlanc Trailer Sales on Branche Street Tuesday, May 12. The LeBlancs wisely contacted Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries and an agent, Kim Cochet captured the almost seven foot long animal. Reportedly other alligators have been spotted around the southern side of Rayne. Residents are warned not to approach an alligator but call Wildlife and Fisheries at 225-765-2811.
