Frog Capital Classic Car & Hot Rod show winners listed

RAYNE - The Rayne Frog Association presented the 2015 Annual Frog Capital Classic Car & Hot Rod Show on Saturday, June 6, under the pavilion on the Rayne Frog Festival grounds.
A total of 126 vehicles were in attendance with all entered for judging, both classic and sporty, spanning 100 years in production dates.
Proceeds will benefit the Hero Hunts Disable Heroes in the local and Acadiana area.
Attractions during the one-day event include music, beverages, camping, face painting and fun jumps for the kids, and great food.
Committee members for the 2015 show were Bert and Sonya Simon, Richard Guilbeau, Kevin Constantine, Louis “Bee Doo” Meche, Stuart Broussard, Murphy Guilbeau and Coby Richard.
Top awards were presented to: Best of Show - Siggy DeRouen, 1984 Chevrolet P/U; Best Paint - Brian Nabbs, 1939 Chevy Sedan; Best Interior - Larry Broussard, 1929 Ford Tudor; and Best Engine - James Camille, 1966 Chevy Chevelle.
Speciality awards were presented to: Best Restored - Kevin Bonin, 1970 Chevy Chevelle; Coolest Cruiser - Jason Escoyne, 1966 Chevy Suburban; Best Rat Rod - Blake Marks, 1934 Chevy Pickup; and Best Old School - Lonnie Ortego, 1931 Ford Truck.
