Gas leak in Morse-area forcing evacuations

The following was released by the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office via Nixle alert:
An evacuation is underway in the Mermentau Cove/Morse area due to a gas leak.
Those living in a one mile radius of LaFosse Road and Everglade are being asked to turn off the gas in their homes and leave them at this time.
