Harmon wanted for murder

Crowley Chief of Police K.P. Gibson has released the identity of the victim and suspect of Saturday evening’s homicide which occurred in the 1000 block of West Seventh Street .

The victim was Kenneth Drake of Crowley.

“Today (Monday), we are releasing the identity of the suspect in this murder and ask for the public to assist us in bringing him to justice,” stated Gibson. 

The Crowley Police Department has secured an arrest warrant for one count of first-degree murder for Damaris Harmon, black male, 21 years of age. Harmon is 6 foot 3 inches in height and weighs 160 pounds with short hair. His last known address is 415 West Andrus in Crowley.

“This was not a random act, as our investigation shows that Harmon entered the residence with force and sought the victim in the residence. Once the shooting occurred, Harmon fled the scene in a dark colored SUV. Harmon should be considered armed and dangerous,” stated Gibson.
