LGMD physician specialists brining services to Crowley

Lafayette General Health is expanding medical services in Crowley by bringing in two experienced specialists to offer clinical services.
Orthopedic surgeon Paul Novakovich, M.D., and neurologist Damon Patterson, M.D., both members of the LGMD Physician Group, are now offering clinical hours in Crowley in addition to their regular practice in Lafayette. Both of their offices are located in the Acadia General Specialty Center, located at 1113 E. Northern St. in Crowley.
They bring the total members of LGMD Physicians Group in Crowley to six. Novakovich and Patterson join Dr. Dale LeLeux (internal medicine), Dr. Max Trahan (general surgery), Dr. Jimmy Skrasek (OB/GYN), and Dr. Rebecca Davis (oncology).
Novakovich specializes in sports medicine, and offers complete orthopedic care, including a wide range of bone, joint and muscle problems. Earning his Doctor of Medicine from LSU in Shreveport, Novakovich trained under nationally renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews.
First opening on June 23, his Crowley office will be open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. To make an appointment, call (337) 216-9018.
Patterson is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He treats numerous conditions ranging from nerve and brain disorders, Alzehimer’s, pain management and many other neurological diseases. Earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, he completed fellowships in neuro-interventional surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and in vascular neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr. Patterson will practice in Crowley every other Friday.
