Rayne child hit on Boulevard during Friday accident

In an attempt to cross The Boulevard near Rayne City Hall, a child was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2016.
Rayne Police and Acadian Ambulance were called to the scene of the accident with the child taken to an area hospital.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
