Rayne Police investigating Saturday homicide

On Saturday, March 28, at 01:50 a.m., the Rayne Police Department responded to multiple calls-for-service regarding an in-progress shots fired
incident at the Frog City Travel Plaza, located at 1418 N. Polk St. in Rayne.
Officers found Christopher Trent (32) of Jennings, had been shot multiple times. Trent was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where he died from his
wounds at 11:14 a.m.
The Rayne Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating this homicide.
