Second "Greetings from Levy Park" set for Thursday
The second installment of Greetings from Levy Park will be held Thursday.
The free music and arts event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the sounds of Adam Dale from Baton Rouge.
Billed as “a well-rounded guitar player, singer, songwriter and performer,” Dale has been touring for more than a decade, selling countless albums on the road.
Also performing Thursday evening will be Startisan, also from Baton Rouge.
Formerly known as Streamline, Startisan is a rock band originally from Rochester, N.Y., with two independent EPs to their credit.
Levy Park is at the corner of East Fourth Street and North Avenue I. Refreshments and food will be available throughout the event, as well as souvenir T-shirts.
Admission is free. No ice chests are allowed in the park.
The concert will end at 8:30 p.m.
Greetings from Levy Park is a four-part concert series. The inaugural event on March 20 was well attended. The remaining shows are set for May 1 (Soul Creole, a Cajun/Zydeco band from Lafayette) and May 22 (The Rayo Brothers, a folk rock band also out of Lafayette).
