Garrett William Fabacher of Iota, is debt free, ambitious, family oriented

Garrett William Fabacher, born in Iota on March 12, 1990, was raised across the street from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He attended St. Frances from Pre-K through eighth grade, then graduated in 2008 from Notre Dame. Fabacher then moved to Lafayette to attend ULL and he lived with his sister and got a job at Olive Garden busing tables. He is now trainer and bartender and is currently working on his degree in education, and he intends to obtain his Juris Doctorate in constitutional law.

“I grew up across the street from my grandparents’ farm,” said Fabacher. “This formed my perspective on life. My family is a typical Catholic, German-American family. We are big on life because we are very loud, we enjoy meals together, ‘heated’ discussions and tradition.”

He is the son of Bill and Emily Fabacher and he has one sister, Amanda Schexnayder, who was due to have a baby on Aug.12.

Three missionary trips (Costa Rica; Eureka Springs, Ark.; Saltillo, Mexico), travel to visit family at the “Old Country” of France and Germany and a trip to Washington D.C. with Mayor Cindy Mcdaniel, makes Fabacher a well-traveled man in addition to being politically active.

At this time, Fabacher, receives no state, Federal or parental assistance. He is completely self-sufficient and carries no debt.

“It can be done,” encourages Fabacher.
