Megan Landry and Dwight Andrus IV unite
LAFAYETTE - Megan Elizabeth Landry and Dwight Wilbur Andrus IV were united in marriage on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette. The evening ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Richard Humphries.
The bride is the daughter of Mark Bennett and Karen Litteral Landry of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Charles Edward and Barbara Brown Litteral of Jennings and the late Bennett Joseph Jr. and the late Thelma Dubus Landry.
She is a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is currently employed by Landry Harris & Co.
The groom is the son of Dwight Wilbur III and Lisa Guidry Andrus of Lafayette. He is the grandson of Dwight Wilbur Jr. and Nedra Reed Andrus of Lafayette and Vita Comeaux Guidry of Lafayette and the late Matthew James Guidry.
He is a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and Millsaps College in Jackson. He is currently employed by Dwight Andrus Insurance.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown fashioned entirely of ivory Alencon lace over silk organza. The A-line silhouette featured a modified empire bodice, wide scoop neckline and a deep V back. The dramatic back of the gown was enhanced by tiny self-covered buttons flowing into a sweep train. To complete her ensemble, the bride chose a full length veil in matching silk illusion. She carried a bouquet of white English roses, hydrangeas and stephanotis hand-tied with French satin ribbon.
Serving as matron of honor to her sister was Sarah Landry Leftwich. Also accompanying the bride were her bridesmaids Ashley Andrus Babin, Lynsey Andrus Braniff and Amanda Andrus Hudson, all sisters of the groom, and Tiffany Faith Freeman and Cynthia Catherine Mayeux-Migues. Flower girl was Elizabeth Kay Braniff, niece of the groom.
Serving as best man to his son was Dwight Wilbur Andrus III. The groom was also attended by groomsmen Bryan Cade Eskridge, Joshua William Ashy Holden, Gibson Theodore Laborde, Craig Michael Walker Jr. and Joseph Blaise Zuschlag. Ushers for the ceremony were Adam Reed Andrus, Ross Michael Breaux, Ryan Arthur Leblanc, William McArthur Massey and Richard Carter Van Brocklin.
Program attendants were Paige Alice Granger, Allie Nicole Doise and Caroline Grace Doise. Scripture readings were recited by Britany Leigh Doise and Stephanie Anne Mestayer. Taylor Charles Granger served as an acolyte for the ceremony.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Café Vermilionville.
After returning from their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
