Rayne Rec hosts 2013 All-Star SuperBowl

As announced by Rayne Recreation Director Dwayne Derise, the 2013 Annual SuperBowl was held for youngsters who have participated in the fall Flag Football program.
Youngsters in both PeeWee and Peanut Leagues squared off in Americans vs. Naionals in each age division.
In the Peanut League, the Americans claimed a 18-8 win over the Nationals. Hannah McKenzie scored two 20-yard TD runs for the first half action. In the second half, Hannah McKenzie threw a touchdown pass to Anthony Granger for another score. The Nationals scored their only touchdown with a 20-yard TD run by Brennan Benoit to complete the scoring.
PeeWee League results included a 16-8 win by the Americans over the Nationals. John David Dupont scored a 50-yard TD run for the Americans an also caught a TD pass from Lane Hoffpauir in the first half, which ended with two 2-point conversions. The Nationals saw an 80-yard interception return for a score by Jackson Casanova. The conversion was good but short for the finale and Americans win.
