Laurence Leger Hanks

Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 am for Laurence  Leger Hanks, 83 who died Monday, December 30, 2013.

 

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2.

 

Surviving are one daughter, Evelyn  Brown; Eight Grandchildren, Jason Cormier, Joshua Cormier and wife Gretchen, Joseph  Cormier, John Cormier and wife Libby, Libby Dietz  and husband Kason, Lindsey Cobb and husband Micah, Casey Curtis  and husband J.T.,  and Kelsey Brown; Eleven Great-Grandchildren, Charli Cormier, Joshua Paul Cormier II, Kalisto Cormier, Elie Cormier, Ava  Cormier, Liam Cormier, Porter Cormier, Tiffany  Trahan, Kaydon Trahan, Addisyn Trahan and Jack Hunt.

 

She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Hanks; her parents Jean Mayance and Ursule Guidry Leger; daughter, Linda Cormier; three sisters, Earline Hargrave, Rose Leger and Olita  Leger; and one brother, Earl Leger.

 

She was born  in Indian Bayou, LA, daughter of Jean Mayance Leger and Ursule Guidry Leger .

 

She was a member of The Catholic Daughters of America and Society of the Little Flower.

 

Friends will be received Friday, January 03, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm & Saturday, January 04, 2014 from 8:00 am until 10:30 am at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.  A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Friday, January 03, 2014.

 

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Society of the Little Flower 1313 N. Frontage Rd. Darien, IL 60561-5340.
