It’s more than just penguins and fish. The art hanging in The Gallery’s front showcases a variety of wildlife painted by Yvonne Seneca-Foreman and Faye Hoffpauer.
For both local artists, their paintings show not only how their focuses have evolved, but also how their skills and talents have led them to explore more types of wildlife subject matter.
Through 46 paintings, Seneca-Foreman and Hoffpauer journey through the animal kingdom, showing cranes and wolves, bears and moose and, of course, fish and penguins. And, the animals aren’t always just life-like representations, as some of Seneca-Foreman’s penguins have become “world travelers” of sorts.
So, Saturday, Jan. 4, with a large crowd of art lovers and family and friends of both artists on hand, the month-long show officially opened.
The paintings will remain on display throughout the month of January, through the 29th.
The art, as well as all art in The Gallery, can be viewed during normal business hours at 222 N. Parkerson Ave. For more information, call The Gallery at (337) 783-3747.
