McNeese's Allison Baggett earns LSWA Player of the Week honors

BATON ROUGE – McNeese State sophomore Allison Baggett has been named the Louisiana Sports Writers Associations women’s basketball player of the week for the week ending Jan. 19. The honor for Baggett is the first for McNeese this season.
A native of Iota, Baggett led McNeese to a 2-0 record last week with a 79-51 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and a 66-62 win over Houston Baptist.
Baggett led the Cowgirls in scoring in both games with 14 points against Texas A&M-CC and 23 against Houston Baptist.
For the week, she averaged 18.5 ppg., shot 46.2 percent from behind the arc and was perfect from the charity stripe, making all nine attempts.
