Couple announces April wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stuart Chance of Lafayette are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Claire Chance, to Taylor Ryan Edgens, son of Mrs. Cheryl Arceneaux Bauer of Sunshine and Mr. Larry Edgens of Zachary.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Mansueto of Metairie, Mrs. John Edward Chance and the late Mr. John Edward Chance of Lafayette. 

She is a graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette and Louisiana State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering while an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

Her fiancé is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Lee Arceneaux of Rayne, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carol Wayne Edgens of Baker. 

He is a graduate of Catholic High School of Baton Rouge and Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and was an active member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He is employed as a Substation Relay Engineer with CenterPoint Energy in Houston, Texas.

The evening ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.
