Afternoon bridal shower honors Alani Beth Miller
The mural room of the Rayne Civic Center Complex served as the setting on Sunday, March 9, 2014, for a bridal shower held in honor of Alani Beth Miller of Iota, bride-elect of Keagan Wayne McGee of Branch.
The couple will be married on Saturday, April 19, during a 5 p.m. garden ceremony at the home of Felicia Dupre in Iota, followed by a reception at the Rayne Civic Center Auditorium.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ronald and Sandy Miller of Iota.
The prospective groom is the son of Richard and Cheryl McGee of Branch.
Hosting the afternoon social were Cheryl Daigle, Ivy and Emily Maron, Connie Maron, Leslie Babineaux, Evelyn Bollich, Shaina Navarre, Alaina Pellissier, Brandie Young, Leslie Richard, Georganna Bruman, Aimee Patin, Brenda Horaist, Quinne Hebert, Mikala McGee, Robyn Andrepont, Tyler Moreau, Charlotte Reed, Deany Bergeron and Dawn Bergeron.
Guests were served turkey sandwiches, Mexican pinwheel sandwiches, shrimp mold, assorted dips and sweets, coffee, punch, and rose cakes of lemon, cream cheese and strawberry.
The reception area was decorated in a vintage theme using burlap trim, in addition to vintage bird cages.
For the special occasion, the bride-elect wore a blush-toned lace dress and was presented a vintage shoulder corsage.
The bride-elect’s mother wore a black dress with lace accents, while the prospective groom’s mother selected a royal blue dress and matching jacket. Both were also presented vintage corsages.
Approximately 50 guests and family members attended from Iota, Eunice, Branch and Lafayette.
