Crowley Police arrest two in connection with burglary

Two agencies working together have led to the arrest of a pair of Crowley men for burglary.
The incident occurred on Sunday, May 11, at 5:42 a.m. in the 19000 block of Crowley–Eunice Highway.
A deputy with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office was flagged down regarding a suspicious circumstance at the listed location. After detaining the suspects, the deputy and officers with the Crowley Police Department began their investigation. It was determined that the suspects in this case were stealing automotive parts and accessories from a business.
Arrested were Elmarkus Thomas, 20, of Crowley and Shane Thomas, 29, of Crowley. Both men have been charged with burglary. Shane Thomas has also been charged with resisting an officer.
“Team work is what makes for successful ending to this investigation. All members of law enforcement did an outstanding job by working together along with an observant citizen of our community,” stated Chief of Police KP Gibson.
