Eddie "June" Melancon

Scott, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, May 26, 2014 at 11:00 am for Eddie "June"  Melancon Jr., 82 who died  Thursday, May 22, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are four children, Mona Hodge and husband Aaron, Kathy Melancon, Lonnie Melancon and wife Timmie, and Tammie Richard  and husband Bryan; 7 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; one brother, C. J.  Melancon; four sisters, Leona Quibodeaux, Joann Faucheaux, Enola Duhon, and Merita Mouton.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Melancon; one son Roderick Melancon; and his parents Eddie Melancon, Sr., and Irene Arceneaux Melancon.

Friends will be received Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm & Monday, May 26, 2014 from 8:00 am until 10:30 am at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.   A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday, May 25, 2014.
