During the 2013-2014 end of the school year program, awards were presented to a number of eight grade students of Mire Elementary School.
Certificates, medals, trophies and plaques were presented to the following students in the following categories:
DAR Youth Citizenship Award: Peyton Richard.

American Legion Award: Kaitlyn Barron and Trey Hollier.
